Vishay launched SMD Little Star series LED power package

Vishay announced the launch of a new series of yellow, light yellow, warm white and white 1W power SMD LED. Little Star VLMK71.., VLMY71.., VLMW71.. And VLMW711.. Series for many applications to provide low heat resistance and high light intensity. The new Little Star LED uses a 6.0mm * 6.0mm small footprint and 1.5mm ultra thin SMD power package, these devices are the most rugged, the highest efficiency of the product. These devices are used for high current drive to provide extremely high brightness and high flux output. Light yellow and yellow LED provide two kinds of luminous flux. White Little Star has a white VLMW711.. And a warm white VLMW71.. Version, each with three flux options.

The new LED is optimized for automotive and consumer applications, such as backlighting and lighting. Typical end products include handheld mobile terminals, such as mobile phones and PDA; traffic lights; advertising displays; appliances, such as ovens and microwave ovens; external automotive lighting devices, such as turning lights and brake lights. In addition, the white LED is an ideal alternative to incandescent lamps for general lighting.

All of the devices in the new series provide a 60 degree half intensity angle and a viewing angle of 120 degrees, and are compatible with the IR reflow process. These LED through the AEC-Q101 standard certification, and comply with RoHS 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC. According to JEDEC moisture sensitivity level 2 standard pretreatment Little Star package lead free (Pb), and in line with RoHS.
