The day before, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. launched the industry's first use of CLCC-2 flat ceramic package and high intensity white power SMD LED series VLMW84XX sapphire based on InGaN/TAG technology. This series of devices can reduce the cost of high capacity applications, they have a low thermal resistance of 25K/W and 5600mcd ~ 14000mcd high power.
With ultra-thin thickness of 0.75mm, CLCC-2 VLMW84XX LED flat ceramic package can achieve additional current to achieve maximum light output of the driver, while maintaining high service life up to 50000 hours, which makes them in thermal management as the main factors in consideration of space constrained applications become the ideal light source.
The new series of devices are optimized for automotive and consumer, consumer, and general applications display backlight and lighting. Vishay CLCC-2 LED is an environmentally friendly alternative to the CCFL display backlight device, which has excellent optical efficiency, long service life and excellent power saving features in a small package (3.3mm * 3.4mm). Typical end products include a camera flash lamp, emergency lights and signs, automotive dashboards and external lighting devices, such as brake lights and turn signal lights.
The LED series can provide a typical luminous flux of 27000 MLM as well as 100mA light efficiency of 40 lm/W. The light intensity of these devices per unit package than IV maximum /IV minimum value is less than 1.6, which has a positive voltage up to 5V, the 60 degree half intensity angle.
VLMW84XX LED and IR reflow soldering process compatible with CECC 00802 and J-STD-020C specification. According to the JEDEC LevEL4 standard pretreatment CLCC-2 flat package lead free (Pb), and in line with RoHS. These devices have been certified by the AEC-Q101 car, with up to 1kV of the ESD withstand voltage, and comply with the JESD22-A114-B specification.
At present, the new VLMW84XX Vishay high power white light power SMD LED sample and mass production has been available, bulk orders supply cycle for 8 weeks.
