Vitesse semiconductor company launched high-speed crosspoint switch

Vitesse semiconductor company launched two models of high speed crosspoint switch (crosspoint switches) VSC3172 and VSC3144, each port speed up to 6.5Gbps, delay is short, the total bandwidth to gigabit.

VSC3172 72x72 and VSC3144 144x144 asynchronous crosspoint switch can provide 900Gbps capacity, suitable for blade server, video and network equipment.

VSC3172 72x72 and VSC3144 144x144 asynchronous crosspoint switch uses the company's PixEQ technology, which helps to improve signal performance and reduce jitter caused by Gigabit signals in PCB, backplane and cable.

VSC3172 72x72 and 144x144 VSC3144 asynchronous crosspoint switch for each port speed up to 11Gbps, two ports by the size of the matrix selection. The delay is only nanosecond, the programming speed of 125MHz is more suitable for the strict timing design of the system.

They run 50% faster than the previous generation, while the cost is reduced.

VSC3172 and VSC3144 bulk prices were $250 and $750 in September will launch samples.
