What? LED coat can DIY?

Lei Feng Wang Lidong in Shenzhen have a feeling of summer, but it is undeniable that winter is getting closer and closer to us, need to add clothes. Is there anything we can do to make it look like a ball, but it's still full of power? Being a shiny LED coat seems nice, not only being the brightest star in the night sky, but also keeping warm.

For the transformation of the coat, preferably the old one (do not feel distressed), thin, and a little more. Coat is best turned over, so that the purse is hidden inside, because in the back of the pocket battery. To avoid the light source being absorbed by the coat and dark colored fabric, an aluminum thin reflective material can be sewn into the coat.

The LED lights in this tutorial use 27 light strings, each with 20 LED light bulbs in water, blue and white. Each string of lights runs with 2 AA batteries, so first put the battery holder in the pocket, then tape the holder and the LED light on the aluminum reflector evenly. If you want the coat looks better, must find a way to spread the LED light spot, such as using a sufficiently thin cotton pad, make the most of the light is transmitted to the outside, the light cotton pad thickness can also spread. Because the absorbent cotton is not easy to protect, it can also be covered with transparent plastic sheets to cover the whole jacket.

Step 1: Sew

The reflective surface can be made from absorbent cotton because the rear LED lamp needs to be fixed to the surface of the cotton. Some parts of the cotton were not covered. In particular, the joints of the garment are easily deformed and scratched, so these parts do not use absorbent cotton. Most absorbent cotton can be sewn up by sewing machines, where sewing machines are used where small parts of the sewing machine are out of reach.

Step two: fix the LED light

After wrapping up the jacket with aluminum, you can start fixing the LED lights. Put them equally on cloth jackets and tape them. Tape ensures adequate flexibility between aluminum products and lamp strings, and most importantly, tape is the most efficient method of adhesion.

Step three: fixed absorbent cotton wool

The next step is to fix the absorbent cotton, because cotton is very thin, so need a little bit of glue to fix it. This is the easiest step in the entire process, and about 30 minutes after you've glued it, you can start the next step.

Step four: absorbent cotton wool

Here you can see the effect of the entire coat covered with absorbent cotton. The exterior is not perfect, but absorbent cotton is essential, and it helps LED light to diverge.

Step five: plastic sheeting

Absorbent cotton is easily deformed and covers the entire jacket with plastic film. Here is a very lightweight plastic film, then cut into different parts of the coat size, wrap these parts around the jacket, and then weld them together with a hot glue gun. A thin sheet of plastic melts very quickly, and a highly flammable spray binder is used for the more important parts.

Step six: color

After the jacket is covered with plastic film, it looks like a sandwich. Blue transparent paint is selected to spray onto the surface of the plastic film to complete the work of encapsulating the optical elements.

As shown, the jacket looks good now, and the hazy appearance gives better shine.
