White LED for high speed wireless communication system

High speed wireless communication system using white LED Taiyo Yuden trial, show "CEATEC JAPAN 2008". The phosphor white LED is used to ensure the data transmission speed of 100Mbit/ seconds. The trial machine was used in the CEATEC field. The system can realize two-way full duplex communication, the maximum data transmission speed of 100Mbit/ seconds (125Mbit/ seconds). The actual data transfer speed is about 90Mbit/ seconds. The maximum transmission distance is about 20cm, with a 100Mbit/ second Ethernet interface.

Taiyo Yuden about the superiority of using white LED high speed communication system, citing the following reasons: 1) communication lines visible, easy to understand; 2) from radio law restrictions; 3) by general white LED (using phosphor LED); 4) without color filter etc..
