World Expo Shanghai night lighting design takes shape LED lighting shine

During the Beijing Olympic Games opening ceremony, from the magnificent, the iconic venues lighting, semiconductor lighting (LED) brings a visual feast to the world. So two years later in Shanghai, World Expo, LED will continue to shine? Reporters learned that in the days prior to the convening of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo lighting lighting design seminar, World Expo has begun to take shape. Many experts expressed confidence that the concentration of the application of LED in World Expo, will be no less than the Olympic games.

According to the chief architect of Shanghai World Expo lights, Tongji University College of architecture and city planning professor Hao Luoxi introduction, the lighting design of Expo Park will form the three main axis: the Huangpu River, the Expo Axis and pontoon, and elevated walkway across the Pudong area and major countries. These places will be the LED lighting "shine" place. Among them, the urban best practice area will become the focus of the LED demonstration area.

To allow LED in a large area of World Expo applications, continuous optimization of related technologies is a prerequisite. At present, the Municipal Science and Technology Commission has been listed as a semiconductor lighting Expo science and technology special focus areas, has supported a number of research. Many companies also aimed at the business opportunities, trying to breakthrough the key technology of the bottleneck problem.
