Xiamen set up the national LED application product quality supervision and Inspection Center

In September 8th, the national semiconductor lighting device (LED) application of product quality supervision and inspection center was established in Xiamen city.

Xiamen is one of the four large photovoltaic industry base in China, photovoltaic industry is a new industry focus on the development of Xiamen's "11th Five-Year" period, 2009 output value exceeded 40 billion yuan, formed a relatively complete industrial chain of upstream and downstream, is one of the most important base to undertake Taiwan Photoelectric Industrial transfer.

The national quality inspection center LED is a combination of Xiamen optoelectronic industry, industry resources and regional economic development needs and the establishment of the "LED application products of advanced international and domestic leading, full-featured" detection platform as the goal, to invest 108 million yuan, construction area of 10 thousand square meters, has 5 laboratories, detection ability to cover all applications the product of LED industry chain, downstream of the test items covering photoelectric color thermal performance, safety performance, environmental adaptability, material properties and electromagnetic compatibility and other indicators, is currently the most complete laboratory test items.

After the center is completed, will provide the domestic and cross strait LED industry chain of new product development, standards, data exchange set up detection technology service platform, to fill the gaps in the semiconductor light emitting device products inspection capability deficiency, to solve the lack of means of detection, lack of capacity, the basic test data integrity problem long plagued the detection, technology development, the whole industry chain design verification and identification tests provide technical support, promoting the transformation of scientific research achievements into productive forces, will produce enormous economic benefits and social benefits.
