Xie Junyan: road lighting energy saving

Xie Junyan, director of the safety and Quality Department of Shanghai street lamp management office, made a report on the road lighting energy saving and consumption reduction at the meeting. The main function of road lighting system is to ensure traffic safety, improve transport efficiency, protect personal safety, provide a comfortable environment, enhance the image of the city. In order to meet the needs of the various functions of road lighting, improve the efficiency of road lighting system, reduce system power consumption, save energy, reduce pollution, in order to achieve the purpose of energy saving and environmental protection.

That the current international, and in consideration of energy saving policy, regulations and measures, is the principles of the premise, must have enough quantity and quality assurance in road lighting, road lighting electricity saving as much as possible, this is the only correct principle of road lighting energy saving. Road lighting energy efficiency is mainly through the use of energy-efficient lighting products, improve quality, optimize lighting design and other means to achieve the purpose of benefit.

In order to save electricity for road lighting, some developed countries have put forward the principles and measures of energy saving. Such as the United States Institute of lighting proposed 12 principles of energy conservation measures, the Japanese lighting will be put forward by the 7 principles, are the same. Now only the lighting Committee (CIE) 6 on the road lighting principles proposed describe: (1) according to the visual work, decided the lighting level; (2) obtained energy-saving lighting design required illumination; (3) by high efficiency lamp does not produce glare; (4) considering the color of the high light source; (5) is not needed to turn off the device or variable; (6) cleaning appliances and lighting regularly, establish the lamp replacement and maintenance system.
