YAHOO to build the Internet changes search with Microsoft and Google

Yesterday YAHOO plans to use its collective knowledge and interest in the development of 400 million loyal users of the next generation of search technology, and narrow the gap with the Internet giant Google.

YAHOO chairman Terry Semel (Terry) said last week that the company has been discussed, at least part of the search business to merge with Microsoft, although the negotiations were abandoned. But in order to go beyond Google, YAHOO has been trying to use the collective wisdom of its users.

Responsible for the search business, YAHOO Senior Vice President Xie Weiner (Jeff Weiner) said that if many loyal users of these skills extended to YAHOO, may lead to the emergence of the Internet "changes", changes caused by the current technology of the search engine algorithm like.

YAHOO hopes to more than Google by persuading users to do things, such as allowing the user to add a keyword, posted on the Internet. For the most popular Hotel Comments, or they find useful pages to add markers.

The company claims that by combining this "social" information with other results from YAHOO's search technology, one day it will be much more useful than it is now.
