Zetex launched a new LED lighting driver effectively improve power density

Analog signal processing and power management solutions provider Zetex Semiconductors (Zetex) recently announced the launch of ZXLD1360 LED drive. The new device uses SOT23 package, can provide 1A adjustable output current, power density is higher than the market using a larger SO8 packaging and other similar products. ZXLD1360 is a step-down voltage regulator, can work in the 7V to 30V power supply range, but also handle up to 24W of output power, suitable for all kinds of high-power LED lighting applications. Zetex chief marketing officer Luo Guowei said: "the new LED drives heat efficiency enhancement type structure is as high as 95%, the height of the integrated component can create less components, simple configuration and compact LED lighting solutions. The ZXLD1360 incorporates a 30V NDMOS switch and a high current detection circuit to set the average output current associated with the external sense resistor." When the need to control the brightness of LED, an external DC voltage or PWM control signal can be added to the ADJ pin, so adjust output current. The driver of the built-in PWM filter can be controlled by the input / output current to achieve soft start function. The use of external capacitors can also further extend the soft start time. As long as the ADJ pin plus low voltage, the output can be turned off, the device is set in a low current standby mode. ZXLD1360 rated operating temperature range of - 40oC to 125oC, can handle up to 40V of transient voltage inflow, suitable for LED based automotive, industrial, emergency relief, building lighting circuits and daily lighting applications. When the LED is in an open state, the coil current flows through the external clamping diode to ensure that the drive is not damaged. ZXLD1360 and has been listed on the 350mA ZXLD1350 LED drive can be pin compatible. Later this year, Zetex company will also launch 60V, 1A driver ZXLD1362 and both easy to configure and support the driver ZXLD1380 buck, boost and buck / boost mode, and can be used for ZXSC380 single cell voltage and low voltage LED applications simple instructions.
