He said that since 2005, Shanghai has become the Chinese semiconductor lighting industry base, has been basically established a relatively complete industrial chain, especially has certain advantages in the upstream epitaxial wafers, LED chip and downstream application link. He estimates that the current total of 1 billion 30 million LED Expo chip, the actual number may be more than 1 billion 500 million. About 80% of the indoor lighting source of the Expo venue is LED green light source.

He also pointed out that LED lighting is currently concentrated in commercial lighting, once the cost is controlled, people will enter the incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp, energy-saving lamps after the era of LED lighting.
