Agilent digital camera to launch a small volume of automatic focusing LED flash

Agilent Technologies Inc. (Agilent Technologies) recently launched a special digital camera in low light conditions to provide lighting, distance up to 3 meters of the automatic focusing of high brightness light emitting diodes (LED, Light-Emitting, Diode). Agilent's ASMT-FJ10 is currently on the market the highest brightness AF LED, when the standard output of 18 20mA (candela). The length and width of the device is 4.80mm * 4.80mm, which is the industry's smallest package size.

Conventional cameras usually use infrared light emitting diodes (IR LED) as a light source in the light of the environment, because only IR LED can provide the brightness output required for such applications. The use of visible light source means that the same sensor can be used in low light and normal environment, while the use of IR LED requires separate sensors. The 612nm orange LED to achieve the ability to visible light, but also can be used to eliminate the red eye phenomenon of the light source and the camera timing operation of the indicator light.

Agilent semiconductor products division China and general manager of Hongkong, Mr. Li Ting said: "the Agilent LED integration and advanced packaging technology, which can achieve strong competitiveness in the market is very professional auxiliary LED flash in. With our innovative technology, design engineers achieve a very low system cost and better overall performance of digital cameras."

Agilent's ASMT-FJ10 is a lead-free surface mount (SMT, Surface Technology) semi circle LED, which uses an optimized colorless non scattering lens, with a narrow 8 degree radiation mode (half angle) to achieve high-intensity lighting. There are no other collimating optical devices, the LED installed in the camera can meet the requirements of the IEC/EN 60825-1 (2001) Class eye protection in all working conditions and a fault occurs.

ASMT-FJ10 chip uses aluminum indium gallium phosphide (AlInGaP) material technology, provide very high luminous efficiency in the driving current range up to 50mA in. This die packaging technology is compatible with lead-free reflow soldering process.
