Announcement of the first batch of public bidding sub contracts for China to gradually eliminate incandescent lamps and accelerate the promotion of energy-saving lamps in 2010

By the national development and Reform Commission (NDRC) / United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) / Global Environment Facility (GEF) jointly launched the Chinese phasing out incandescent lamps and energy saving lamps promotion (PILESLAMP) project, aimed at promoting the incandescent lamp production enterprise transformation, accelerate the improvement of energy-saving lamp promotion mechanism, as well as the development of Chinese phasing out incandescent lamp, energy saving lamps promotion roadmap and special planning. The implementation of the project will be conducive to China's phasing out incandescent, accelerate the promotion of efficient lighting products, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve the global environment. The total budget of the project is $14 million, the implementation cycle of 3 years. The tender involves 10 sub contract. Ministry of Commerce of China International Economic and technical exchange center by the national development and Reform Commission resource conservation and environmental protection department commissioned the hosting of the bidding activities.

The mandate of the tender contract book (TOR) has two versions in English and Chinese, the content of the Chinese Version (see www.cicete.org, hzs.ndrc.gov.cn, www.undp.org.cn, www.gefchina.org.cn, www.eELighting.cn). At the end of the tender, the expert group will be set up to carry out an independent assessment of the tender (i.e. contract proposal).
