China plans to phase out incandescent light

According to the national development and Reform Commission China 25 introduction, in order to accelerate energy-saving emission reduction, phasing out the incandescent lamp, energy saving lamps promotion, development and Reform Commission has launched the "China phasing out incandescent lamps and energy saving lamps promotion action plan" preparation.

According to the national development and Reform Commission resource conservation and environmental protection department, development and Reform Commission and the United Nations Development Programme, the global environment fund cooperation "Chinese phasing out incandescent lamps and energy saving lamps promotion project", the establishment of the "Chinese support the phasing out of incandescent lamp, energy saving lamps promotion action plan". At present, the related research work has already started.

According to the resource conservation and environmental protection department data, at present, Chinese lighting electricity accounted for about 12% of total electricity consumption, the use of energy-saving lamps to replace incandescent lamp can save 60% - 80%, if the existing incandescent lamps in use are all replaced with energy-saving lamps, a year can save 48 billion kWh (all units of Three Gorges hydropower station the annual power generation of about 80 billion KWH), great potential, is an important way to realize the goal of energy saving and emission reduction.

Earlier, according to a comprehensive energy reduction program of work issued by the State Council, the national development and Reform Commission formulated and implemented the "11th Five-Year" (2006-2010) during the plan, through financial subsidies to promote efficient lighting products 150 million, gradually replacing incandescent and other inefficient lighting products. After the implementation of this plan, the country can save a total of 29 billion kwh a year, less emissions of carbon dioxide, 29 million tons, sulfur dioxide, 290 thousand tons. According to expert estimates, although the purchase price of energy-saving lamps expensive than incandescent, but energy-saving lamp life is far more than incandescent lamps (light requirements of the national standard of minimum life saving for 6000 hours, is 6 times of incandescent lamp), energy saving effect is obvious. A 10 watt energy-saving lamps to replace the incandescent lamp of 50 watts, the annual savings of up to $28.
