India made the first step in the manufacture of SemIndia to build a packaging test plant

By the end of 2006, India will have the first semiconductor packaging and testing their (assembly-test-mark-pack, ATMP) factory, this is the first step to establish SemIndia in India semiconductor manufacturing industry chain. It is reported that the new plant will provide the company's semiconductor packaging and testing in India in AMD.

SemIndia chairman, President and chief executive officer Vinod K. Aggarwal said: "AMTP factory is the first step we make to the semiconductor manufacturing base into India."
