Intel packaging plant located in Vietnam Pentium core fought Israel

In recent weeks, rumors that Intel plans to build a chip packaging factory in vietnam. Intel said the day before last week, Vietnam investment and planning department (Ministry of Investment and Planning) has approved the Intel factory investment license. Intel will invest $300 million to build a semiconductor packaging and testing plant in Hu Zhiming, vietnam. In addition, the company also announced plans to expand its R & D business in israel.

Intel said the Vietnam chip packaging plant will start construction immediately. Built and put into operation in 2008, this will be the seventh global semiconductor packaging and testing plant in Intel's global network, is expected to eventually employ about 1200 people. The other end of Intel site include: Malaysia Penang (Penang) and Kulim (Kulim), Philippines Cavite (Cavite), San Jose (San Jose), and China in Shanghai and Chengdu.

Intel declined to comment on what products will be packaged in vietnam. This is the first time the semiconductor industry to invest in vietnam.

Intel also said it had reached a $6 million property deal with the Israeli government of Haifa (Haifa) to buy about 5 acres of land to build its largest R & D center. Which does not involve government funding. The move will allow Intel to double the R & D center in Haifa, reaching 40000 square meters, and an increase of 1500 employees. Currently there are 2000 employees.

This will make Israel one of Intel's important R & D centers. India has been to persuade Intel R & D center moved to India. However, Israel will be the base for the future development of the Pentium M series processors. These processors will become the first batch of Intel processors developed outside the United states.
