LED lighting problems

Because of the multiplicity of LED, we should look forward to the bright future of it, and we should not avoid it.

LED lighting problems

1 China's production of most of the street light distribution is not reasonable.

The United States Department of energy (DOE) SSL lamps published criterion of Energy Star qualified as a benchmark, we on 2007 to 2009 200 LED lamps photometric detection data evaluation found that only 3 LED street lamps can meet the requirements and provisions of the DOE luminosity distribution efficiency, the qualified rate was only 1.5%. The quality of the measured LED street lamp is far from the requirement of DOE, which needs to be improved greatly.

2 the problem of insulation resistance in LED street lamp with anti surge interference function.

EMS design of LED street lamp only consider the anti surge interference function, ignoring the requirements of the electrical strength of lamps safety standards, should emphasize the adequacy of LED lamp design input, consider other functions based on the safety requirements.

3 there are some very poor quality products on the market, showing not bright, short life, poor color.

4 product claims are not accurate.

5 product label information is not sufficient.

6 color quality problems, such as color rendering.

7 lighting designers still do not trust SSL products. They say more standards are needed.

8 cost is still too high, but the high-profile incentive to use SSL products.

Standard of foreign LED lamps and lanterns and standard of domestic LED lamps and lanterns

Similar to the traditional lighting products, LED lighting market depends on the development of industry standards and test methods to characterize the performance and security of the national standards and test methods to cultivate consumer confidence in new product design and lighting is very important. Below, we list the International Association of lighting in the form of a table (IEC), the American Energy Star (EnergyStar), IESNA (paper published on IESNA. LED standard and IECLED lamps are working related standards, at the same time, China's publication of LED lighting related national standard GB.

At present, the domestic LED lighting standards

As can be seen from the table above, the relevant international standards of IEC (only EMC) corresponding to the LED lamps and lanterns on the GB national standard (only EMC) basically meet the requirements of the current LED electromagnetic compatibility test requirements for LED lamps. In addition to EMC and LED lamps related to the international IEC standards are mostly concentrated in the safety standards, performance standards are still lacking. In the LED bio safety testing standards, as LED was born in the semiconductor industry, has been, LED's bio security issues are measured in accordance with IEC608251 standards. However, with the deepening of the research level, people found that the wide spectrum and the output characteristics of laser beam diffusion and LED are significantly different, IEC608251 obviously can not fully meet the needs of the development of LED industry. In view of this, CIE in 2002 released the CIES009/E:2002 light and other systems of biological safety. This standard can be used for the assessment of the optical hazards of light emitted from the lamp and lamp systems of the 200nm to 3000Nm wavelength range, including the light emitting diode (LED) but not the laser. This standard is suitable for evaluating the biological safety of LED lamps. The latest CTL proposal (PDSH0748) involved in LED biosafety standards have been changed to IEC62471. At present, many European countries have begun to use the IEC62471 standard for the safety evaluation of LED lamps. Therefore, from the technical point of view, LED lamps and bio safety standards have been developed, can be used. As with the international standards, China has also been released in 2006 with the IEC62471 national standard GB/T201452006 "light and light systems such as biological safety", to provide technical support for the safety performance of LED lamp light biological detection.
