2, in the design of LED lamps

LED lamps in the optical system design, electrical accessories, cooling measures and structural design and other aspects of the traditional light sources have obvious differences.

A. optical system

The optical system of the lamp is the soul of the lamp, which is designed according to the characteristics of the selected light source. The optical system of traditional light source is composed of light source, lamp holder, reflector and transparent cover. Because some LED units have the photometric characteristics of 2 pi luminescence, the photometric system of lamps is very different from that of traditional light sources. Specific features are as follows:

(1) LED lighting optical system is composed of LED chip and the LED lens unit or LED unit array, the array substrate arranged on the aluminum substrate sometimes smooth, may also be in the protruding or concave on the lamp, with or without the use of a transparent cover. According to the lighting requirements, lighting manufacturers will be a combination of multiple LED units or dozens of LED units on the substrate, attention should be paid to control the color consistency of the LED unit after the combination, the color uniformity of LED lamps.

(2) due to the very sensitive photoelectric characteristics of LED changes of PN junction temperature; packaging resin deteriorate rapidly under high temperature and strong light radiation; long-term will make the phosphor light induced conversion rate decreased gradually, and lead to the chromaticity shift. The evaluation of the LED lamp life is usually under the condition of limiting the color deviation, to assess the lumen maintenance rate of LED lamps.

B. electrical parts

LED drive power is the key factor of the performance of the LED lamp, and it is also one of the key factors for the design or selection of lamps. Electrical design of LED lamps should be considered in order to use the LED lamp installation site characteristics and the number of lamps and lamp, and the position in the grid to consider electrical safety, constant current drive, immunity and EMI, choosing or designing appropriate LED driving power supply. Since the LED is 2V ~ 3V low voltage constant current source driver, so unlike ordinary incandescent bulbs can be directly connected to the 220V AC power, power supply and control circuit must be designed to drive LED. In addition, the electrical connection of the LED module is also an important part of the electrical system of the LED lamps and lanterns, which should be fully taken into account, and the standard connectors, adequate insulation and electric shock protection should be adopted.

C. cooling measures

The same as the traditional light source, LED lamps are also hot, LED lamp heat from the loss of LED photoelectric conversion and LED drive power supply. With the traditional electric light source (gas discharge principle of incandescent lamp and fluorescent lamp heat radiation etc.), LED luminescence is electroluminescence, because the conversion efficiency, most of lattice vibration energy output mainly by non radiative recombination occurs in the form of the conversion of heat. The heat transfer in LED is not radiation but conduction. Therefore, the main goal of the LED lighting design is to effectively heat the LED chip effectively, and effectively control the LED junction temperature of the LED lamp.

For LED lamps, in addition to LED is the heating components, LED lamp drive is also heating components, in order to ensure coordination and LED life of the light source, thermal control LED drive is also very important, if the built-in power supply, lighting should be based on the ambient temperature in the selection marked with the corresponding TC drive. When the driver is installed independently, the corresponding TC driver should be selected according to the environment temperature.

D. mechanical components and structures

The function of the machine is to determine the position and the relationship of the optical system, the electrical system and the thermal system through the structure design. The traditional mechanical system is composed of a fixed light source, lamp reflector, lamp control device and other components of the structure, flexible cable or cord wire structure, seal structure, mechanical structure, protection lamp fixing structure and lamp adjustment structure parts, specifically by the holder or the light source connector, socket mounting bracket, cord fixing frame, connecting terminal seat, shell, lampshade and a lamp rack etc.. Due to the characteristics of LED light source, LED lamp package, module, LED light engine, integral LED lamps, LED lamps and other non integral forms, but may last two forms with traditional light similar to the internal structure, the other LED lights with a standard lamp holder, in this case, the LED lamp has the following structure feature:

There is no lamp holder in the LED lamp, but the connection between the LED lamp and the lamp is completed by the connector, and the LED lamp is fixed to the lamp body by other means. In order to produce export LED chip, LED lamp radiator with large volume and weight, the lamp light is much larger than the traditional, mounting structure of lamp should be considered accordingly, in order to ensure the safety and reliability of the installation. At the same time, the heat sink should be designed to be easy to clean or not easy to ash structure, otherwise, the efficiency of the heat sink will be quickly reduced. When the LED lamp uses a power cord and the power cord is removable for maintenance, it belongs to a non Z type connection, as well as a non Z type connection of the traditional light source, the LED lamps should also use a flexible wire holder.
