Currently LED applications to mobile phones and other portable products, but growth has slowed down. In the future, LED will be the fastest growing in the display and display backlight. The average annual growth rate of the output value of the global white LED lighting applications is 20%, the next 5 years, the growth rate of 35%-40%. China is the world's largest LED lighting market. LED has become a revolution in the energy industry in twenty-first Century and its application market is very wide. LED used in traffic lights, its energy efficiency is very significant. Future lighting market is huge, but LED to a large number of applications also need long-term research and investment. In line with the requirements of the Kyoto Protocol, LED will replace the traditional light source. China's LED production in Taiwan, the world's first, and has a good industrial chain. Mainland has the world's largest LED market and excellent production capacity, cross-strait cooperation can build the world's most competitive LED industry. It is suggested to strengthen the exchange of LED between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, and jointly promote the technical level and create a win-win situation.
