MITSUBISHI heavy industry intends to set up a joint venture with three companies in the world's first lighting OLED panel company

In May 28, 2008, Japanese heavy machine manufacturers MITSUBISHI Heavy Industries (Mitsubishi Heavy, Industries, Ltd.) announced that the company developed ROHM, printing and letterpress (Toppan Printing Co., Ltd.) and Mitsui (Mitsui & Co., Ltd.) to 51% (three companies, MITSUBISHI heavy industries 34%, 9.9% and 5%), the proportion of investment. Jointly invested 1 billion 400 million yen to the establishment of the world's first OLED lighting panel company "Lumiotec" corporation.

MITSUBISHI heavy industry pointed out that the new company is expected to start operations in the spring of 2009, the number of employees at the beginning of about 20 people, mainly engaged in lighting manufacturing / OLED sample panel and assess the work of the panel business selling business, the future also plans to construct the system of mass production and trafficking.

OLED panel for lighting with incandescent lamp, fluorescent tube and other traditional light source and LED lamp has no characteristics, is regarded as the next generation of lighting light source products. Specifically, OLED lighting panel to "light" light, thin, lightweight design can be achieved; and no ultraviolet, not irritating to the eyes and skin; in addition, OLED lighting panel does not contain mercury and other harmful substances, and in the CO2 reduction and energy effect has also been high hopes.
