In recent work, Ningbo city through special funds, and guide enterprises R & D investment funds about 29000000 yuan, support for large power LED encapsulation technology research, indoor lighting of common technology research, 180 W LED lamp research and other 12 major projects. At the same time actively organize enterprises to declare all kinds of national projects, the current LED project a total of 6 projects were included in the national support plan, the "863" plan, etc.. The main backbone enterprises to undertake more than 60 LED demonstration projects, including Ningbo demonstration project of 18, road lighting, lighting, indoor lighting, 800 thousand. The transformation of the government office buildings, business and commercial indoor functional lighting, Ningbo city road lighting, Ningbo "six Sanjiang" landscape lighting, school teaching building lighting and other major projects. In addition, the municipal government has invested 10 million yuan, the Ministry of electronics research and development park where five high-tech zones in Ningbo city was established based on the semiconductor lighting of public technology service platform, the Ministry of electronics R & D park five in Ningbo to set up offices for Shengpu photoelectric, Riyin IMP microelectronics, Mingxin microelectronics and nearly 400 in Ningbo and Zhejiang provide technical training and certification services; relying on the five East China branch, to provide measurement services for 100 Ningbo and Zhejiang enterprises. Through the cultivation in recent years, Ningbo has now formed a LED product sales of nearly 30 companies.

However, in the corporate exchanges also suggested that Ningbo city has the current industrial structure is not reasonable, incomplete industry chain, industry concentration is not enough, is still weak and so on participation in international competition, and existing in the industrial development fund, patents, standards and other issues, and lack of talents, mutual poaching the prominent phenomenon. These require the parties to the next great efforts to resolve.

In this regard, Li Jinmin, director pointed out that the development of semiconductor lighting industry in Ningbo has formed a certain foundation, the future should be more actively explore the promotion of EMC and other models for the development of the industry to provide more useful experience.
