Quanta and ASUS is expected to be the first two big chip buyers

Market research firm iSuppli said, Taiwan quanta and ASUS this year is expected to all computer factory in the top two semiconductor buyers.

ISuppli said in a statement, Quanta procurement expenditure will increase to $5 billion 200 million, an increase of 17.9% compared to 2005, hold at least since 2004 have been commissioned to design safe manufacturing (ODM) chip biggest buyer status. ASUS will buy $4 billion 700 million chips this year, an increase of 20.1% over last year.

Quanta is the world's largest notebook computer OEM factory, ASUS is the world's largest maker of computer motherboards.

ISuppli analyst Min-Sun Moon said, such as microprocessor and dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chip with personal computer, is the main procurement category semiconductor quanta 2006.
