Semiconductor lighting national standards for the development of phased progress

Electrical lighting National Standardization Technical Committee from July 1, 2008 to July 2nd in the eastern city of Zhuhai province held a technical seminar lighting national standards or industry standards, including general lighting LED the 12 national and industry standards has completed the draft (see Annex). The conference by the lighting standard committee chaired by the Secretary General of Suhui Qu, Chinese Lighting Association vice chairman Liu Shengping, the national semiconductor lighting engineering research and Industry Alliance Nguyen Army Deputy Secretary General, Ministry of information industry of semiconductor lighting technology standards working group secretary general Zhao Ying, as well as from the lighting industry, semiconductor devices, inspection institutions, research units of 200 representatives to attend the seminar.

Liu Shengping, vice chairman of the meeting pointed out that the meeting opened very characteristic, in the national semiconductor lighting project under the impetus of the domestic LED lighting applications continue to heat up, the urgent need to develop standards to guide the development of the industry. Deputy Secretary Ruan Jun long speech pointed out that since the national semiconductor lighting project, in addition to strengthening R & D upstream epitaxial material, has always attached great importance to promote the development of the application, and is through the alliance standardization coordination to promote the work of the group to formulate the organization and coordination work of China's semiconductor lighting standards. Deputy Secretary General Nguyen army first proposed to develop the long way to develop the semiconductor lighting standards, in order to solve the semiconductor lighting industry, involving different downstream standards there is a disconnect and repeat the problem; second is the combination of semiconductor lighting to strengthen standardization work and Plan 863 major projects in the implementation process of major technological breakthroughs, product development and major application; again is to strengthen international and regional cooperation standard, both with international standards, but also conform to the current situation of the development of the domestic industry, and strengthen cooperation with China's Taiwan region in terms of standards for communication and information exchange, explore the feasibility of combined standard.

On the two day of the meeting, a lively discussion of the 12 delegates from the standard lighting needs, such as the different characteristics of semiconductor devices, agreed that the formulation of these standards is very timely, the meeting was also discussed more fully, but the delegates also pointed out that some of the standard of technical indicators and test methods also the full collection of data and research, standard work will continue to strengthen the cohesion on the downstream, in order to make the standard of more scientific and reasonable.

The standard workshop, is the national semiconductor lighting project since the start, the first time in the field of lighting electrical lighting LED standards seminar. The lighting board will according to the meeting to discuss the situation, hold overall coordination of the drafting of standards, with relevant content better standards, accelerate the formulation of standards. These standards are expected to be implemented at the end of this year and early next year.
