TSMC chairman Zhang Zhongmou said the prospects for the semiconductor industry is better than a month ago. TSMC forecast early this year due to the global economic crisis affecting consumer demand, TSMC's 2009 sales revenue will decline by 30%.
Zhang Zhongmou, at the European Chamber of Commerce in Taipei, said the semiconductor industry is a little better than a month ago. However, compared with last year, sales will decline many.
