The acquisition of major PHILPS settled "high price" sell semiconductor

From Wall Street daily news according to the latest Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) and Silver Lake Partners consortium claims the PHILPS Electronics Group (Philips Electronics NV) of the semiconductor division to win. The deal is believed to be worth more than $10 billion 260 million.

Previously there have been reports that three strong private investment funds are competing for PHILPS's semiconductor business, the competition is entering the final stage.

According to relevant sources, including bidding consortium Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and Silver Lake Partners Permira Advisors; and Texas Pacific Group and Blackstone Group joined the Consortium; Bain, Capital Inc, Apax Partners Worldwide LLC Management LLC and French partner portfolio.

PHILPS electronics recently reiterated that by the end of 2006 to be listed or sold its semiconductor sector.
