"We must develop and utilize clean energy for the future," said Wan Gang, China's minister of science and technology, on the global energy summit. Wan Gang said that in order to gradually solve the problem, China will continue to develop hydropower, wind power, solar power and nuclear power, will further promote the clean use of coal, the development of efficient and clean power generation technology.

Wan Gang said that energy is the basic element of production, life, the world today, the rapid development of energy technology, the concept of sustainable development. Wan Gang said that at present, the Ministry of science and technology, development and Reform Commission, Ministry of finance, the Ministry and other relevant departments jointly launched the "Ten City 1000", "ten city one thousand", "golden sun" and other new energy projects. Ten city 1000 project plan, in ten the city's public transportation field scale to promote the use of hybrid car batteries, hydrogen energy, drive the development of automobile production, the yield reached 30 billion yuan. "Ten city lights" plan, is expected to three years to promote the use of 6 million sets of function and landscape of the semiconductor lighting products, saving 1 billion kilowatts, the general lighting market in 2015 to enter the 30% semiconductor lighting, electricity will reach 140 billion kwh. The golden sun project plans to 2015 to achieve new solar photovoltaic system installed capacity of 2 million 500 thousand kilowatts, the domestic PV market output value of 20 billion yuan, creating 90 thousand jobs.
