At present, Huazhong University of Science and Technology has integrated including a State Key Laboratory (State Key Laboratory of laser technology), two key laboratory of the Ministry of Education (Key Laboratory of information storage system, Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Biomedical Photonics of Ministry of Education), National Laboratory for optoelectronics and 6 related departments of discipline resources to enter, set up 7 Research Department of the Ministry of education; and the "211 Project" and "985 Project" investment in the acquisition of Optoelectronics related equipment allocation of the national unified management laboratory. National lab construction unit of Wuhan Research Institute of Posts and telecommunications, Wuhan Institute of physics and mathematics, CSIC 717 Institute will focus on the integration of related optoelectronics, established two research based Photonics and space photonics.
