In the second half of this year, led rear projection display has become the mainstream

According to the latest survey of professional display research firm DisplaySearch report shows that from the beginning of the second half of this year, rear projection display light emitting diode (LED) will become the mainstream varieties of display, will gradually replace the cold cathode fluorescent display liquid crystal display (CCFL).

Research institutions in the global survey of 18 panel manufacturers, said the second half of this year will be the introduction of 15 light-emitting diode rear projection display. Including Taiwan China Optronics Corporation, CMO company, South Korea BOE Hydis company, Samsung Electronics and Toshiba Matsushita display company, these LEDs will be used for rear projection display tablet computer, notebook computer, LCD monitor and LCD tv.

Compared with cold cathode fluorescent light emitting diode rear projection LCD, rear projection display panel can provide better transmission a wider range of colors, and can reduce the weight and the thickness of the panel, and its energy consumption is lower.

The report said, the other backlighting techniques are being developed, in the near future plan led large-scale production technology including Samsung Corning flat fluorescent technology and Sharp Co cold cathode fluorescent hybrid backlight technology.

Said display professional research institutions, the second half of this year, the notebook computer panel manufacturers are developing more bright panels, the brightness of high-end panel can reach 500 nits (NITS brightness units), brightness of mainstream products can reach 200 nits. The brightness of the LCD TV panel developed higher, it will reach 600 nits brightness.
