Taiwan will build second LCD AU Optronics module factory in mainland China

According to Taiwan media reports, Taiwan's AU Optronics (2409.TW) said its plans in the mainland to build second liquid crystal display (LCD) module factory, in order to expand the existing production capacity.

The company's first LCD module factory is located in Jiangsu, Suzhou. Company executives pointed out that the company is currently building the details of the assessment, while expanding the existing capacity of the main purpose is to meet the needs of mainland TV manufacturers and other industry customers.

The high-level also pointed out that the new plant has not yet been identified, the size of the investment, production capacity and the establishment of timetable and other issues.
